Maple Tree
I was looking at the CMBB pics and was shocked by the improvement from CMBO, is it really this much better? How did they make the graphics so much better, the VRam is not that much higher in CMBB. Thanks, Maple
Olle Petersson
Three factors: - Larger textures. CMBO original textures are smaller with (relatively) few pixels. The CMBB textures are like Hi-Res mods. - Doodads. These smaller textures that raise from the ground. - Smaller ground grid squares. In CMBO every ground square is 20x20m, in CMBB 10x10m (IIRC). I was under the impression that there was no underlying changes to the graphics engine in CMBB - being reserved for CM2. Would be nice if it was true. Madmatt
Yes, the tiles are the same size as before, 20x20. The most obvious difference is that this time we have a full time dedicated artist working on textures. Kwazydog isn't just a great guy, he is a great artist who knows how to get the very best out of his artwork and each texture he touches is a masterpiece. James Crowley
Madmatt Thanks for the reply, and judging by the latest screenies, no argument about Kwazydogs talents. Simply awesome
