Nidan1
I did a search for previous threads, perhaps my keywords are off but..... When you set an arc of fire for a unit, say a MG in a defensive posture, will the unit fire outside of the set arc if a new and more dangerous threat is perceived by that unit? I wasn't able to determine this from playing the demo. Any help?
WWB
Yes if something is real close and real dangerous. But definitely not at range. WWB

MikeyD
Actually, the higher the experience level (Crack vs Conscript) the more likely the unit will indeed stay inside the fire arc until the bitter end. It's best not to over-use Cover Arcs in the game. At the other end of the curve I believe (though I'm not positive) a unit can degrade to the point where it refuses to accept a Cover Arc at all. An exhausted Conscript unit outside of command for example.
