LGMB
Title speaks for itself. I'm having some trouble with the 8500's transparent display: (Smoke graphics aren't transparent. Any help?)
Schrullenhaft
Which OS are you using ? Do you know what drivers you're using ? The latest ones from ATI are dated July 15, 2002 (for OS 9.2.1 or later). I guess someone else here will have to tell you if they're seeing the same problem or not. I would have thought that all the Radeons would suffer the same problem, but there is a slight possibility that the different versions of the Radeon may exhibit different problems with the same driver.
LGMB
I'm running 9.2.1, with that update downloaded.
Jarmo
The one difference I can think of with 8500 and earlier Radeons (apart from performance) is antialiasing. Can you turn it off somehow? It might be causing the trouble..
LGMB
That does indead seem to be an issue. In another game, I was able to turn off antialaising- and presto: it worked. Now how to do it for CM....
Jarmo
Hard to say. The control panel might have something, but I have no experience with 8500. If that doesn't work, there might be an extension that does the antialiasing. Removing it might work. If all else fails, you could try the drivers of 7500, those don't antialiase. But might not work either, and might lose performance. Could be worth a shot anyway.
