Herr Kruger
The abililty to alter rates of fire of your troops.... some people might say this is too much micormanagement, but if you are allowed to tell your slaves, um, soldiers to walk, crawl, run, advance to contact and vehicles to race, hunt, or move then I'd like to be able to order my mortars "lazily shell that copse of trees over there b/c we're not really sure if there are some Bolsheviks near it so we don't want you to waste all your ammo just yet"... so we could have a max rate of fire (maybe even misfires/duds hehe) and one or two lesser rates of fire... well, just something I thought of once. Oh yeah.. Wings baby!
Michael Dorosh
Platoon commanders in WW II (at least in CW service) could control the rate of fire of their entire platoon with a single voice command. We still do this today. "Rapid fire" "Normal rate of fire" "Slow rate of fire" Not sure what the actual rounds per minute were/are.
Panzer Leader
Well, that might be alright, but I can just see myself giving every unit on the map a "Fire the sh*t outta that weapon" command!
Panzer Leader
Is that really true, MD? If the Jerries were out there, and my lieutenant came sauntering up with a "Slow ROF, men!" I think my tripod mounted BREN would be going BUUUUURRRRRPPPP -click-

Shades
It would be nice to limit the mortar crews fire when area targeting if you want to conserve their ammo and just surprise any troops hiding out.
