Voxman
Are trenches only to be used as anti-tank weapons or can I hide infantry in them ? I am trying to hide my infantry in them, but the Control Panel is only registering WOODS, not the trenches. Thanks
Snarker
I saw the same thing with a trench I placed behind a rise. Panel said "open". My infantry was in the trench - the control panel initially showed open, but I saw "in trench" (or "trench", I forget) when I checked back on them after finishing the setup and starting the battle. Moon
Also, during the setup phase, the Interface will not show "in trench". Reason is that the trench isn't "placed" yet (you can move it around in your setup zone during the setup phase obviously). Once you hit GO! and enter the orders phase for Turn 1, the Interface should correctly display "Trench". Martin
Voxman
Yes you are correct I am in the setup phase, so when I hit GO I will presume they will be in the trench. If the trench is the trees, will the trench and men inside be harder to find for the enemy ?
Sergei
Should be. At least that applies to foxholes in CMBO, so probably also to trenches in CMBB. Just beware treebursts...
Eric Alkema
Last night I had to deal with an ATG in a trench. I had a number of tanks in the area so I thought I would try ganging up on it. A turn ended, I checked the LOS and found 7% exposure! I decided to shoot smoke and bypass it. Has anyone shot it out with a gun in a trench? How about arty? Any luck?
