Thin Red Line
The manual states the victory level is determined by how fast the attacker reaches the last map end. And also that the battle will finish when he arrives to the map end. Does it mean he has to reach it with one unit only, or all of them, or the majority, or what ? In the op i'm currently playing (The Wrong Turn), the briefing is very sparse about the victory conditions...like the manual. Thanks for any tip. RSColonel_131st
Hhmm...what exactly do you mean? CMBO or CMBB? From all have seen in my three days owing CMBB, it's always a battle for the flag. Have never heard about an "advance" operation?
Moon
You don't need to physically reach the map end with any unit, actually. What is meant with "reaching the map end" is that the battle window for the current battle has to overlap with the end of the entire campaign map. If you advance that far to force the battle map further than the actual map, the operation will end automatically. Ehh... does this make it any clearer? RSColonel, there are three kinds of operatons - assault, advance and static. Only static involves fighting over flags, the others have no victory location. Instead, the goal is to advance along the pre-made map in a certain number of battles. Martin
Thin Red Line
Thanks Martin, I think i understand and I will try to put it into practice. It's a refreshing change from the flags anyway.
