a1steaks
I just installed Win2K on my system, and now CM will only load in software mode with my TNT2 card. I've tried nearly every version of the Detonator drivers to no avail. I have DirectX 8.0a installed. Any suggestions??
Schrullenhaft
Have you delete the CM Prefs file ? What is your current resolution and color depth ? Is your monitor "defined" or is it the "Default Monitor" ? Is anything "disabled" on your Display tab of the DirectX Diagnostic ? Which Detonators have you tried ? With a TNT2 card I wouldn't really recommend getting the latest drivers since they won't really offer any performance benefits (to my knowledge) since most of the code of the Detonator 3 seris (6.xx) and later is geared towards the GeForce family (though they still work with the TNT2's). Detonator 12.41 is the latest "official" release from NVidia, though there are users in this forum that are having problems with that driver too. Most of the problems are probably related to the FSAA settings (which aren't supported by the TNT2 family). a1steaks
I'm using 12.41, although I've tried a few others like 6.50 and 7.97. I deleted the prefs file and now I get 3d support, however I'm getting the transparent text everyone seems to be talking about.
Schrullenhaft
That will happen with Win2K. You may want to try the NVMax program spoken of in another thread on the forum (but I'm not sure if it will work with the TNT2's). Minimizing with ESC and coming back may clear the text up a little. NVMax (you may want to try 2.043 or older versions): http://www.action.com.pl/support/!Utility/Tweak/NVMax/
Stryker
I had problems with the 12.41 drivers for a TNT2 locking up my Win2k. Had to switch back to an earlier version...
