RDR
How do you change the resolution of CM? Mine got inadvertently lowered to 640x480. Thanks, Bob
kburns24
Go into the CMBO folder and delete the Prefs file. The next time you play CM it will prompt you for what resolution you desire. FUBAR'D
What is the max screen resolution for CMBO? What is the desired (by battlefront.com) screen resolution for CMBO? Thanks
Schrullenhaft
I personally haven't seen CMBO exceed 1600 x 1200 in resolution, though it may be capable of something higher. There is no specific resolution that CM prefers, you just get more 'real estate' on screen at higher resolutions. The performance of your video card will probably be the best determinant of what resolution you should use. As an addendum to the initial question: Once you've deleted the Prefs file and re-launch CMBO again you will be offered the resolution that you are currently running your desktop at (with a refresh rate that may be higher though) and progress downwards from their in refresh rates and resolutions. If you want to run CM at a resolution higher than your current desktop resolution you will need to change your desktop resolution to that resolution or higher before launching CM in order for it to offer the higher resolution as a selection. CM will not offer a resolution for selection if it exceeds the current desktop resolution. On the Mac I believe CM will just use the desktop resolution (other than possibly using a 3rd party utility).
