Cpl Carrot
My monitor has just started to act funny and was wondering what the problem might be. The corners on the image strech every now and then, making the image look like an hourglass, then bounce back to be all square. There is no pattern (that I can tell) but is highly annoying. Panzertruppe
I would suggest looking into another monitor. I had the same thing happen on my 15" monitor a year ago......did it a few times during play about everytime I played for about a month..Then one day it was just a black screen....had a buddy look at it....turned out it was fried! Good Luck
Jack Carr
Certainly sounds like the beginning of the end for that monitor. If I were you I would start looking for a new one.
Schrullenhaft
Just to add to what everyone else has said already... your monitor is on its way out. The components responsible for controlling 'pin cushioning' in your monitor are defective and are either dying or operating below acceptable levels (at random times). Your monitor may not go completely back anytime soon, but your 'hourglass' shape may become permanent at some point. A new monitor is highly recommended.
