simonthewag
I'm working on a map pack for CMETO focusing on the actions of the 101st around the town of Zon moving southeast along the Dommel. I'm nearly done with the first map depicting the town, canal, and initial attack of the 101st airborne. The reason for the post is to gauge interest in maps depicting the 101st involvement in Market Garden around the bridge over the canal and along the Dommel river. I'm about a day away from posting the first map. Anyone interested in woking out a scenerio, ie TO&E for the initial assault or just to take a look at the map should contact me at simonthewag(at)gmail(dot)com (I think I set the forum options right so email is available from from my screen name). Edited to say: By the way, I'm new to posting on the forum but I've owned CMBB and AK since release and have read these forums enough to know that to be polite... it's ok if the "people" in the PENG thread contact me too. simonthewag
According to the Library of Congress map I'm working from both Son or Zon are correct spellings. Edited to say: Thanks for the input. [ January 08, 2006, 01:42 AM: Message edited by: simonthewag ]
painfbat
"both Son or Zon are correct spellings". No, the're not. The name of the place is SON. That lightball in the sky is ZON. Sometimes we Dutch know things better than your Library of Congress. We should, it's in our country and our language. A agree with Aragorn2002:Good subject Cheers
Buq-Buq
Simon: Son or Zon, I think that this is great subject matter for CMAK scenarios. It seems to me that there has been a distinct lack of Market-Garden scenarios for CMAK (CMETO). I believe that someone just posted one to The Scenario Depot II (yes: "Arnhem Mayhem" by Gen. Failure) . . . other than that, I don't recall having any Market-Garden scenarios in my scenario folder. Drive on! Drive on! Mark
Elmar Bijlsma
The Groesbeek Heights operation is pretty entertaining though. Can't remember where I got it from but drop me a line if anyone wants it.
