  1. There's the official cemetary which is cared for by the first parachute division, and you don't get more official than that in caring for german war cemetaries. So what's your point exactly? Maybe you did just feel like making a smart yet pointless remark without having understood my whole post? Maybe you just like to quote out of context to show off how great you are? Maybe I need to spell out my point in one-syllable words to make sure you understand it? So many questions... All the best Andreas </font>
  2. = = = I also see no reason why any 'official' German institution should become involved = = = "... man erkennt den Charakter eines Volkes auch daran, wie es nach einem verlorenen Krieg mit seinem Soldaten umgeht."
  3. = = = I believe the german t34 has different ammo then the Russian t34.= = = It did and so did the captured Pak the Germans used against the former owners.
  4. = = = I had a hell of fun in CMMC1. I learned an awful lot while playing it, and it was a great experience. Petrow, Major-General, Workuta Socialist Re-education Camp = = = This must have been the first Combat Mission-campaing with a concentration camp. How did you replay the killing of over 200.000 political prisoners and POW's in that camp?
  5. Both the mods are ready for downloading now at cmmods.com. I've added 3 more unit-markings, some bullet-damage and some snow on the winter-version. I'll be doing some more unit-markings and then re-work the whole grau serie, maybe also a snow-version, maybe. Told you they'd be ready this week-end
  6. Ready with everything, 2 version: Normal and Snow. Many unit-markings as stated above, and all have "Leighte Panzerspähwagen"-marking. I've also put some bullet-hole's and markings to the vehicle's. The normal version: The snow version: They will be ready for download tomorrow. More will follow.
  7. What are you looking for, German, Sovjet other? special kind of vehicle or unit? www.combatmission.com, www.cmmods.com, www.zimorodok.org. Many artwork to find there, no I'm not giving names, they all have some very beaytifull special wow-artwork. See for yourself.
  8. The preparations are all done. 1,2,3 & 11SS, GD, 1,3,9,11PZ, S-flag options and a no-unit marking finnished. Busy with the snow , should be ready this week-end. Are we going the right way here?(picture 2): [ September 08, 2006, 11:26 AM: Message edited by: painfbat ]
  9. By your command (Been watching a battlestar Galatica re-run. My girlfriend used to behave like that too, "by your command" Than we got married, now I'm the robot ) I'll have it this week-end I think.
  10. How could I refuse someone who made Dutch uniforms Like picture 1 or with the snow all-over
  11. Don't know how it works but it make's me play the 1.3 scenario's. That's enough for me

  13. I've had the same a couple of times to. Cut & paste the BMP's from the new folder to the BMP-folder in the RUN-folder. Do the same with the wav-file (that should be only one) and also the AK.exe. The exe. overwrites the old one etc. If you start CMAK you'll see the 1.3 patch doing his job.(Screen, right belowcorner).

  16. Has any German member read "Stalingrad… bis zur letzten patrone" by Heinz Schröter 1954??? On Ebay.de it says, in short, that he wrote this book ordered by Adolf, and that he was given every piece of info available by Das „Oberkommando der Wehrmacht, des Heeres und der Luftwaffe. And that on June 21 1943 the book was forbidden by Goebbels as it would hurt the German people to much. Anyone knows something about this story??
  17. Two books, in German, that might be to your interest: 1) Die 24. Panzer-Division vormals 1. Kavallerie-Division, Dr. F.M. v. Senger u. Etterlin jr. (I have the 1962 but there is a new print), and 2) Ritter, Reiter, Russen, Hans-Ludwig von Stockhausen. From 24 Pz page 67: Die neugliederung der Division =============================== 24 PD was to be a 1942 type PzDiv. Reiterregiment 2 and 21 from 1 Kav formed the 24 Panzerregiment. 24PzReg. had 3 Abteilungen, 4 Schwadronen each. 4,8 and 12 Schwadron were the heavy Schwadronen with PzKpfw. IV. Most of these PzKpfw. had the long KwK. L/48. The other Schwadronen(1,2,/5,6/9,10) got the PzKpfw.III with 5cm KwK, and some the long L/60. 3,7 and 11 Schwadron didn't get any and were used for reserve-personal. Then we have the Schützenregiment 26. This one had 2 Abteilungen and 1 heavy IG-schwadron. I/26 1, 2 and 3 Schwadron had mSPW, II/26 was not armoured and had only the Kfz.70-gruppenfahrzeug. Schützenregiment 21 had the same Gliederung but no armoured vehicles. Kradschützenabteilung 4 1 Panzerspähschwadron(Rad) 2 PzAufklSchwdr.(light.SPW) 3 & 4 KradschützenSchwadr. 5 schw.Schwadron (Pioneer, Pak, light IG-zug) PzPioBtl 40 and Pz Nachrichten Abt.86 were partly armoered, Pz'JägerAbteilung 40 had 5 cm Pak(mot Z). PzArtRgt. 89 in 1943 had no Selbstfahrlafetten, but plenty Panzerbeobachtungswagen. 2./K 4 with its 37 light SPW enforced I/26 so this abteilung had 3 complete schützenschwadronen with SPW. Heeres FlakArtAbt. 283 with 8,8cm FlakBttr was put under command of the 24PzDiv and later became the IV Abteilung in PzArtRegt. 89 And this link: http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gliederungen/Panzerdivisionen/24PD.htm http://users.pandora.be/stalingrad/divisional_strength/divisional_strength.htm There used to be a nearly complete list of who in witch unit was a panzercommander but I can't find it at the site of L horseman, and not on my computer. Ischould have it some were printed, if you want it let me know and I'll do a search.
  18. For as far as I know it was 6 men. Gun leader Gunner 1- fires the sMG and carries the gun. Gunner 2- loads the sMG and carries the tripod. Gunner 3- ammo carrier Gunner 4- ammo carrier Gunner 5- ammo carrier Gunner 2-5 were armed with a rifle. During the action gunner 3-5 main task was securing the gunners 1 and 2. But I could be wrong, just took it from a old book.
  19. ================================== LL organisation and equipment Airlanding divisions (22nd, 91st) were organised and equipped very similar to other light infantry, such as the Gebirgsjäger and Jäger. All artillery formations used mountain organisation and equipment. Similarly, regimental assets (regimental companies) were permanently distributed to company level, and the divisions used two regiments of three battallions (instead of three rgts with 3 bns, as was initially the infantry norm). The battallions, however, had five companies instead of the normal four, and these were all identical and equal strength companies (thus not the three rifle plus support company pattern of regular infantry). The airlanding divisions were thus organised (and indeed trained) for sustained fighting in smaller formations. 22 I.D. LL The 22nd was designated Airlanding division but initially had only parts of it trained and equipped for the role. The rest was regular infantry (not light infantry), e.g. the division had three regiments and not two. The airlanding elements participated in the airborne operations of 1940. Mainly by landing in transport planes on Dutch airfields. The division, howerer, never took to the skies again, as they were tied down guarding oilfields during the operations in the Balkans in 41. The elements trained and equipped for the airlanding role were assembled in a battlegroup (KG Buhse) and sent to Africa, where it was destroyed in 1943. The rest of 22nd went East and laboured on, and retained the name Luftlande until it too was destroyed in 1945. ================================================ I could be wrong but books like "Die Geschichte der 22.Infanterie-Division" and "Flak-Bat.22 Seine Geschichte" tell me something different. As do these sources: http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gliederungen/Infanterieregimenter/IR16.htm http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gliederungen/Infanterieregimenter/IR47.htm http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gliederungen/Infanterieregimenter/IR65.htm http://www.balsi.de/Weltkrieg/Einheiten/Infanteriedivisionen/22-ID.htm http://www.historic.de/ Cheers,
