The_Enigma Posted April 9, 2007 Share Posted April 9, 2007 Hey guys, Over the last few weeks ive been reading the 1st volume of British Official History for the Middle East. That plus an Osprey book (with great maps and photos! ) on Operation Compass. So from that, the battle turned out to be, the Australians would attack the retreating Italians in the rear along the costal road while the 7th Armour was sent across the desert to cut the road. Iirc the 4th Armour Brigade and the Support Group took up positions near/on/around the Pimple near Beda Fomm and the 7th brigade joined in a little later on. There's an alternate version of this scenario floating around; "Beda Fomm - the Pimple" by P.P. Stuart.
