Random generated map question

I just finished a PBEM-game and wonder if I can save the computer generated map for coming battles. It was an exellent map even thoug I lost the game...

yes you can . Just re-load one of your pbem turns , preferably the set-up turn otherwise you'll get also the terrain deformations ( destroyed houses , craters caused by explosions etc... at the moment of the save )and save the game . Quit and start a quick battle the usual way and when you get the screen with "map type , tree coverage etc..." , click on " load map from file " and select the file you've just saved .

I disagree with kurbi. You can save in the AAR screen and load that and only that save as map for a QB as kurbi described. You can even import the remaining units if you wish.

I might be wrong but I think that if you save at the AAR screen you get ,of course, the same map but changed by the battle events ( burning fields , craters and so on ...).

OK. Thanks everybody. I´ll try this. Can I edit the map in the mapeditor if I load it in the editor (as the map could use a few tweaks)?

IIRC you can't load it in the editor.

But if you think you might want to do this, the editor allows you to have the computer randomly generate a map for you. It doesn't have the same surprise factor as a randomly-generated QB map, but it does allow you to edit it as much as you like.
