John Kettler
History Channel (U.S.) has a new series called Shoot Out, and last night was ostensibly about the Makin raid. In actuality, it was Makin plus New Georgia plus Luzon, maybe more. What made it extremely worthwhile was that this show was an in in-depth (you are there) look at company or lower level battles squarely within the scale of CMAK, some at night. Considerable tactical and terrain detail was provided. I haven't really looked into the ins and outs, but I thought the Italians might make fair substitutes for the Japanese, what with their grenade throwers, similar LMGs/HMGs, and paucity of SMGs, not to mention big squads with 6.5mm bolt action rifles. Thoughts? Regards, John Kettler
junk2drive
I can zip up and send you the PTO battles and ops that Hans made. I think they play very well. There are also some light tank actions and Brits in Burma with mediums. The Italian light tanks are good substitutes for the Japanese tanks. Most have mods at cmmods in CMAK search for Pacific
John Kettler
junk2drive, May I have a rain check? I don't presently have a usable rig (this post via non OS 9 compatible iBook) on which to play the proffered goodies. Am presently working on a cybernetic get well plan.
