bodman
I was wondering if there was a vidio chipset that supports all the features of cmbo in win xp, that doesn't have the white transparency issues?
WWB
Yes. ATI video cards do not have white transparency issues. OTOH, you cannot see the fog (at least on a PC). Kinda sux, six of one, half dozen of the other. I would bet on nVidia to fix the driver before ATI, tho. WWB
medlinke
and nvidia has been notified by bts about the problem? Does BTS even know what the problem is specifically... I mean the first time I got in and played I had no problems. However I went to design a scenario and after previewing it and returning to the menus, my text was totally messed up and suddenly I started getting all the problems.
Doug Williams
Yes, BTS knows about the problem. They have basically said it is totally an nVidia driver problem and the ball is in nVidia's court. I suggest e-mailing nVidia and asking when the problem will be fixed. If they can take some time out of their constant tweaking to get one more tenth of a frame per second out of Quake III, perhaps they can make a driver actually work with XP and CM.
