junk2drive
Google news had this article today Ottawa Citizen news part of the caption below a picture "outside the Jewish settlement of Yitzhar, near the West Bank town of Nablus" the ground is loose sand and the soldiers are wearing winter coats, a civilian has on a knit cap. Is it that cold in the winter there? Or like here, I start shivering at 80f.

Philippe
A few years ago I visited Qatar in February. A cold wind was blowing out of Persia, and the temperature dropped into the mid seventies fahrenheit. I had just come from Oman, where the temperature was around 100 fahrenheit, so I was delighted. The locals, however, were visibly uncomfortable. Many of the shopkeepers in the bazaar were wearing sweaters, and several of the shops had fires burning in little copper braziers. And I actually saw one guy shivering from the cold.
Michael Emrys
I remember my first fall in LA. It got down to 60°F. I was going around in short sleeve shirts and seeing people in overcoats LOL. So yes, it all depends on what you are used to.
