Canada had no zone of control; we had one battalion as part of the Berlin Brigade very briefly, and the Third Canadian Division (Canadian Army Occupation Force) was in place from 1945 to 1946. Canadian forces in the early 1950s (I believe we had a brigade beginning in 1951(?) as part of the new NATO alliance formed in 1949) were part of, I believe, the British Army of the Rhine (BAOR), and by the 1970s 4 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (4 CMBG) were part of the American forces in the south.

MD: I remember using the 4 CMBG in my old board games. I also have the book "First Clash" which tell a fictional but pretty interesting account of the 4th's actions vs a Soviet attack.
