legend42
Why the does it look like a german 88?
Pzman
Because they share 3D models, just like some of the AFV's do. (In fact all Russian AA guns get their 3D models from German ones.)
murphus
My question is this: why isn't any AP ammo available for it? It's useless in an AT role as it stands.
Sergei
It has AP ammo. Until ca. 1944, however. At that point the 85mm tank gun became common, and I suppose that is where the 85mm AP grenades go to after that.

Pzman
Is the 85mm AA gun an L55 like that on the T-34/85? If so then that may be the reason.

Michael Emrys
I honestly don't know anything about the plants in question. But I'll buy that from '43 on the Germans weren't overrunning many rear areas where the big AA guns would likely have been found. legend42
lets get back to the topic, why does bfc goto great lenghts to expertly represent all major weapons on the eastern front(even small weapons like the russian at rifle look great), but then fall well short of the expectations that they created on things like the russian 85mm aa gun and the german grille which is graphically the wespe?Did they run out of time?money?gigabytes?I dont understand.
Pzman
Not enough space on the CD, plain and simple.
