Gyrene
Renaud has sent me some great pictures of a re-enactment of the battle for Iwo Jima that took place last Sunday in Texas. Head on over to the Photos area on the sig below and check them out! He's promised some more pics & a couple of movie clips, so stay tuned for more! Michael Dorosh
Wow, those are much better than usual. They actually look Japanese, and like Marines. Terrain is even close. Nice stuff.

I had never seen Japanese re-enactors before, that was pretty cool. Gyrene

Renaud
lol gyrene. Yea they put a lot of work into turning the hill into a blasted landscape. A professional camera crew was there with a huge remote controlled boom camera (you can see part of it in the pic of the LTV), so i'm hoping for a DVD or somefink. The sound was great...constant blasts of various weapons, rising up whenever some group made a move forward. The tanks fired some kind of blank shells as well, not just those lame simulators we had when I was a tanker.
