flamingknives Posted March 9, 2003 Share Posted March 9, 2003 They were used for recon, as having a radio meant that they could report back to command what they saw. The current problem with "borg spotting" (what one unit sees, all the rest can see) means that they are machine guns on wheels, included for the sake of completeness.
