britfish Posted January 8, 2003 Share Posted January 8, 2003 Hi Battlfront chums, special request here, Ive been given a WW2 cloth badge but I cant identify it, it look like a regular german cloth eagle patch, but it has a star instead of a swastika?? britfish Posted January 8, 2003 Author Share Posted January 8, 2003 I did, but the guys at work frown on people scanning N**i regalia during work hours Its strange its your run of the mill breast eagle but with a five pointed (almost US) star where the Swastika should be? "It should be noted here that members of the Russian contingents were not supposed to wear the German eagle-and-swastika breast eagle (the Hoheitsabzeichen), as this was considered a German national honor (though the French, Belgian and Croat volunteers appear to have worn it as well). Instead, an alternative breast badge was to have been worn, featuring a diamond enclosing a swastika and supported by two stylized wings, in grey on a field grey backing.
