General Lee
What exactly determines command ranges? for exmple i had a platoon in a large heavy building and a squad in the lower left corner was uncommanded while a morter squad in a wooded patch 15 meters behind the building was commanded? The platoon leader was on the to floor tword the front of the building. Is this right?
YankeeDog
In addition to the experience level of the HQ unit and and command bonuses, command range is affected by LOS. Baically, for any given experience level and command bonus, there are two 'in command radiuses, one for units in LOS, and one for units out of LOS. In your situation, I suspect the unit in the building was out of LOS of your HQ (this can happen within the same large building if the units are on opposite corners and different floors), but the Mortar was in LOS. Cheers, YD
Brightblade
Command range is determined by the experience level of the HQ unit, its command bonuses and LOS to the commanded unit. If there is no LOS, the command range of the HQ unit is halved (not for AFV with radio).
Steppe Butcher
Abstracted windows positions in buildings also seem to play a part in command LOS. Try placing your unit around the room until he's in command.
