I just created the beginnings of a static operation and want to test a couple of points before continuing. However, when I try to start the game, I am only presented with multiplayer startup modes (PBEM, hotseat, TCP/IP) and not the single player mode. Another similar operation I created doesn't have this limitation. What conditions in the operation will prevent me from launching the game in single player mode?

Thanks,

I suppose it MIGHT have somthing to do with assault boats.

Are there any assault boats in your op?

It's just that the A.I. is NOT allowed to play with boaties, so you can only play those games as either the side with boats (though that option should still be available to you) or as a multi-player game.

Hmmmmm. I don't know. I'm stumped.

Sorry to be of little, if not NO help.

Assault boats!!!

You guys nailed it right out of the gate. (Or some mixed metaphor like that.)

I'm amazed at this forum. A simple but obscure question answered accurately within 11 minutes of the original post... TWICE.

Thanks for the help!

Huh? Freaky?

It should still allow you to play single player mode, but only as the side with the assault boats. Right?

Is that still a problem?

And you're welcome! smile.gif

Well, I whacked the assault boats and can now load the game as single player. I also tested and confirmed that you can play single player if you select the side with the boats. Why would I want to put my own troops in one of those death traps anyway?

Thanks again for the help!

Perhaps because your objective is on the other side of an unbridged, unfordable river?
