kevsharr Posted March 18, 2003 Share Posted March 18, 2003 An interesting aside to this SS against the SA is that the 18th SS Panzer Grenadier Division was named after Horst Wessel,a "Hero"of the SA,who supposedly died in a brawl with socialist's,but was actually killed by a pimp.There was also the "Horst Wessel"song an example of which can be heard in the movie "Big Red One" But for a SS Div.to have a SA member's name applied to it and also to use former SA member's to man it is....interesting Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
