Phantom Captain Posted June 21, 2003 Share Posted June 21, 2003 I do believe that that is where the antennae folds down. It's the holder for it. Not absolutely sure but that is what I always figured when I did German armor models. The antennae is always situated right at the front of it and always looks like this is what it folds down into. The Panzer III's have them too. I could be completely wrong though, that was always just my guess as to it's purpose.
