GSP
Hi, Can anyone tell me what happens in a PBEM game if you dont enter a password and just hit Ok? Yesterday, thinking I was just going to go back to the main menu,I hit OK I could see all of the enemy forces. I was horrified and quickly hit Alt A and only saw a platoon or so, but it was on extreme FOW and it was scary. I tried again today and just got the beeping 'wrong password' sound and I felt somewhat relieved. Is anyone familiar with this or was it a one time thing? Thanks,
bitchen frizzy
Are you certain that it was your turn file you opened, and not your opponent's turn file?
GSP
Yes I saw my german forces on Barbarossa in all levels of cover, as you always do. I was lucky because it was quick and did not spoil the game. I will keep testing as we continue the midday session and follow up. Maybe the fact that I was watching Star Trek episodes on CBS.com all week, my computer was seized by unknown forces. I will go with that unless I see it happen again.
Ted
Something like that happpened to me once. My opponent didn't enter a password (you don't have to) and when I clicked OK, by mistake, his side just opened up and I could see everything.
JoMac
Just like Ted, I had same thing happen to me once. My opponent sent wrong file by mistake without a password, and I was able to see all his units. I told him what happened and we just started game over.
