I ran SC fine on my old widows XP computer but now everytime I play I get a windows stop error. It only happens in SC and games like Battlefield 1942 run fine. I usally can make a few moves, some times a whole turn. However without fail a blue screen pops up with this stop error message code. Panzer39 Posted August 31, 2003 Author Share Posted August 31, 2003 After a lot of trial and error I think I fixed the problem. For some reason setting my monitor to 16 bit color instead of 32 made the stop errors stop. There were other reports with SC and XP with seemingly similar issues, and I wonder if the problem is related in the same way, although I cannot for the life of me understand why this would be an issue.
