Jollyguy Posted May 10, 2003 Share Posted May 10, 2003 I just completed a game where I was Allies. I had FF units, which were back on the mainland. I recaptured Paris, and was collecting French mpps. Next, I attacked Vichy, and took Marseilles and Algiers in one turn, also sinking both Vichy ships, but didn't have enough units to takeout the Beirut corps. Vichy didn't surrender. The next turn my opponent moved the Vichy Beirut corp toward Baghdad, while I took Beirut. That last corp still didn't surrender, so my oppenent ran him over the oilfields, liberating both, as I only had one corp garrisoning Baghdad, and couldn't do anything about it. The next turn I operated over some units, and finished him off. It would seem Vichy should surrender whether attacked pre or post liberation of Paris.
