zappsweden
I am stuck with a WIN95 computer with 14 inch display that seems to support a maximum of 800x600. Does the resolution limit has to do with windows95 or is it the display? A know the chanses are small but is there a way to play the game?
Hubert Cater
Although you cannot play SC at 800x600, Win95 does support higher resolutions so my guess is it is either your monitor or video card that is the limiting factor. zappsweden
Ok, i have another computer so hopefully the display will cope with 1024 then. Thankyou for your support and a great game!
zappsweden
The display i have over christmas is a 14 inch Compaq SVGA 472p and it does not seem to support 1024x724 but i am not sure (since i lack the drivers for it!). If anyone knows what it supports or if there are any drivers for it (i searched the net already) pls let me know. Hubert Cater
If your system supports 1024x768x16 then you should be able to play the game even if you normally run at 800x600 which is probably the case for you as it will automatically switch to the higher resolution at SC run time and then back when you exit. GDS_STARFURY
go to www.cnet.com for any drivers you my need. Also go into your control panel and then into the display settings; then open up the monitor tab and select your monitor from the list. With a unrecognized monitor windows will default to the 800x600 resolution.
