well-dressed gentleman
Supply lines for minor countries seem artificially restricted by their need to connect with London or Berlin. Canadian, North African and Spanish cities are all stuck at 5 MPPs. Perhaps the virtual land-bridge rules could be expanded at some point to fix this. Control of two ports and the water between them would form a virtual land-bridge, worth 8 – 10 points of supply for troops at the far end. The virtual land-bridge could be degraded by the presence of enemy naval or air units. Canadian income would therefore be affected by control of the North Atlantic in a more direct fashion. Rommel’s supply in North Africa was in fact interrupted by British power in the Mediterranean. A rule along these lines would enhance the role of sea power in keeping an expeditionary force supplied. Bill101
I've often wondered whether Canadian MPPs should rise to 100% when the USA joins the war, thus giving the allies a small equalising boost.
Edwin P.
And I always wondered why the Russian Navy couldn't intercept Iron Ore shipments from Sweden to Germany. In north Africa you can trace supply via a land bridge, but it might also be interesting to have a supply ship that would automatically move between Italy and a north africa port, thus increasing the supply of that city on the turn it arrives to 10 for 1 or 2 turns, but of course this takes a nice simple system and probably adds an unneeded degree of complexity.
