George MC
Tank Battle Problem No3 Tanks in Combat Against Bunkers Fictional with approx 6000 points combined (note there are a lot of high value units in this hence the high number of points). Map size 960m x 960m Set in August 1941 on the Eastern Front this scenario is based on a training situation outlined in "The German Tank Platoon in WWII: It's Training and Deployment" (published by The Nafziger Collection, and based on a document complied by the US Army from Original German Works). As such it is designed as a training scenario for those new to commanding armour and infantry on the CM battlefield. It also has something to offer 'Grogs' looking for a quick combat 'fix'! In this scenario the player is the commander of a kampfgruppe, consisting of a panzergruppe and armoured infantry company, which has been tasked with clearing a series of Soviet strongpoints situated on some low hills. Supporting the attack you have a lot of artillery and air support (Note: the Stuka pilots supporting you are very experienced and crack aircrew thus reducing the chance of friendly fire incidents). This is the third training lesson in a series based on the situations described in the above book; the first one TBP No1 Attack Against PAK covers attacking a strong anti-tank defence without any infantry or artillery support; TBP No 2 Point Platoon as you as a panzer platoon commander of the point platoon of a panzer company, encountering a blocking position based around a village defended by enemy forces equipped with anti-tank guns, machine guns and some light armour This scenario is only for play as the German player against the Soviet AI. Included in the scenario pack are two maps. One is a sketch map based on examples used in formal briefings by the Germans, and which is referred to in the briefing. The other is a topographical relief ‘Command Map’ of the CMBB battlefield. You can get it here:- TBP No3 Bunker Busting Feedback etc would be greatly appreciated Cheers fur noo George

I thought "Panzergruppe" in German usage referred to a unit approximately the size of an Army (ie group of corps)? ie Panzergruppe Guderian, Panzergruppe Kleist...?

stoat
I've only ever seen it as meaning an army sized formation. I am not excluding the possibility that it could mean a smaller unit, but I have never seen used thusly.
