Ralph Beaman
When surrounding units what is the standard operartion for waitting or dextroying units that may be crippled? How many turns does it take for surounded units to be effected? I just received the game and i am currently the Germans on the 1940 campaign and it is oct, 18 1940 and france is still not defeated! VonBraun
Well the turn after you have surrounded a unit the units supply and readiness will be effected. the question is why are you waiting? crush that unit and move on. The longer you allow France to hold on to the little land they own, the worse off you will be. VonBraun

demoss
Yes you should worry, and yes, it's probably because it's your first time playing the game.
Rastan
you are using your airforce and reinforcing units right? Multiple air strikes on units followed by 1-2 ground unit attacks works well. And reinforcing is cheaper than buying new units and you get to keep some of the experience.
iolo
Also, don't forget to pay attention to the terrain your enemies are on. Makes a big difference. Fighters are not as effective against units in the Ardennes, in particular...
