jon_j_rambo
These have probably been stated, but here goes. Looking for stuff outside the actual game. 1) Replay mode, saves the whole game for further study, without FOW, or with. Players can go over game film after the fact or a 3rd party. 2) Live spectator view. Lets say there's a match going, other want to watch. Actual players are allowed to control the FOW aspect. 3) Show the dice rolls option. Lets the players see what was rolled (simulate or emulation thereof). Collet the dice rolls for further evaluation in game film. 4) Track the time option like chess's sand dial. 5) Make the Menu on the right smaller, no need to block the board so much with it. 6) Make different victory conditions by points or something so you don't have to play 20 hour game. Give cities a value, also value the time to capture & held, & troop losses as a penalty. Please add more if you guys have any ideas. Repeated or not, this would be the time to ask Hubert. Edwin P.
I second your proposals for a replay option, a timer option and better better victory point scoring. I would also like it to keep a record of best time/dates to conquer France, Russia, Defend France, Defeat Axis, etc. [ April 06, 2004, 10:01 AM: Message edited by: Edwin P. ]
Shaka of Carthage
What I would like that is kinda outside the game itself, is the option for a three (3) player game. This way, Russia, could be played by another person. Easy to do for a PBeM game, but what would really set it apart, is a three player TCP option. SeaMonkey
Ahem! Martin, Have you noticed that no one is hounding you about news of SC2......and don't take this as a playful prod....which it is not. See what a well behaved civilized lot we are?
zappsweden
7) Pre-game viewing: Both players can view the techs, units, readiness before turn one start. It prevents campaign editor cheating.
SeaMonkey
Zapp, can't you do this by using "Hotseat" mode?
jon_j_rambo
SeaMonkey --- HotSeat doesn't help (in reference to Zapp's comment), because somebody must host a game & could have changed stuff. The good news, we haven't had any accusations, but Zapp is just thing ahead. Zapp is a competitive guy & security is important anytime it comes to computers. SeaMonkey
Understand now. My ignorance, having only dwelled in the PBEM realm.
