Jeff Heidman
Is there any way to dig in an AT gun? Can AT guns dig in whent heya re the defender? If so, what effect does digging in have on an AT guns ability to be spotted and/or engaged? Is there any way to allow anyone to dig in after the first scneario in an operation? Bruno Weiss
I was looking this up also. I placed an AT gun at the start of a QB, and kept it hidden in a woods. It never dug in, and I've been trying to figure out what I missed. Definately to their advantage. But I'm unclear on what the conditions are for digging in at this point, or what the thing didn't. ------------------ "Gentlemen, you may be sure that of the three courses open to the enemy, he will always choose the fourth." -Field Marshal Count Helmuth von Moltke, (1848-1916)
Lanzfeld
I could be wrong but if you are defending then the AT gun will be dug in (foxhole). If it is a meeting battle it will not.
IntelWeenie
IIRC, they work the same as infantry when defending vs. attack or assault: they are "dug in" automatically if they start the battle unlimbered. I don't think there is any status indicator that shows this, though. ------------------ "It's a boy!" - My wife's OB/GYN Nov. 8th, 4:45am

They are very effective there, because they cannot be seen while hiding, and they are less likely to get KOd. Congrats! Now you won't have any time for CM, though. ------------------ Well my skiff's a twenty dollar boat, And I hope to God she stays afloat.
