dunc
Just wondering, is it posible for a squad to throw grenades while crawling? I saw it just now for the first time, and although the graphics on CM are only meant to represent what's going on roughly, it looks a bit strange when grenades fly out of the middle of a squad. LimShady
Well the grenade throwing is just a representation of a close assault. So they could be throwing grenades, fixing bayonets, etc. LimShady
MadmaN
Those are real grenades!
Cavguy
I can say that throwing grenades in the prone (both on your belly and on your back) is a trained task in the US Army. Mind you, your effective throwing range is MUCH shorter. (10-20m)
Hurricane
I guess this is standard practise in every army. When I was in the army we learned three simple rules of close assaulting (i.e. the last 20 meter charge to the enemy position when you lie prone behind cover): 1) put on bayonet 2) throw grenade 3) fire a short burst. And then run like hell and hope they still hide in their foxhole.
Michael Dorosh
My section commander referred to the prone position as throwing grenades "missionary style", mostly for the benefit of the female recruits.
