the cube
I apologize for the off topic nature of this question but I've been very curious about this Talonsoft title and would really like to know what you guys think about it. Thanks
Mattias
Personally I would rate TOAW just as high as CM, overall. It is a completely different game of course but very good indeed. If you have any kind of interest in the operational level of warfare and is not completely consumed by 3D hysteria (TOAW’s 3D mode is worthless) it is a sure hit. M. Bertram
I still play TOAW, having bought it when it came out. Currently have 4 or 5 games running (well, some are more walking). Either buy the Century of Wargame (CoW) version or the TOAW1 version. CoW is best, but TOAW1 might be in the bargain bin, and is also still used. Be warned though, first it is possible to cheat with TOAW in a PBEM game. Some people claim bad experiences with this. Second it is a general game system, best used in WW2 environment. This means that on the one hand there are lots of user generated scenario's, some of real good quality. But on the other hand even a real good scenario like Barbarossa still lacks the specifics of a special build game like HPS Smolensk or Kharov.
