Bog
I don't know how many times I've played Wild Bill's Ramelle scenario as the Americans, but I'm always galled by the poor performance of the fighter-bombers against the big, bad Tigers. The rockets seem to do nothing against anything but soft-skinned targets, even with direct hits on the Tigers they seem to do no damage. Reading some accounts of the Typhoons in the desert, I have read that the rockets were the weapons of choice against heavily armored Tigers and the like. Why are they so weak in CM? SMERSH
Noticed the same thing myself. *Bump*
Banshee
Just a guess, but I am guessing that CM modeling them as HE rounds. But from what I understand rockets had shaped charge warheads. Therein may lie the rub.
KnifeForkSpoon
I've had mixed results with Airpower and rockets. Mostly, one off them suckers lands a direct hit, and at LEAST immobilizes whatever it hits. But usually the rockets have devestating effect. When I played Ramelle, I did get no better than IMMOBILIZED on the big Tiger. KFS
Scooter
The most I've seen is my tank commander being taken out by the rockets. (My King Tiger was moving.)
