Commissar
Does anyone know where I can find a sound file of the famous Katyushas firing off? I'd like to use it for my rocket artillery sound. thanks.

MikeT
Question is would free flying rocks make any sound as they land on target? I can see artillery rounds screaming in since they would be traveling faster, but would rockets? MikeT
Commissar
Well apparently so. Try using artillery rockets in your next game and let it rain. You'll hear the rocket's howl as them come in.
John Kettler
Commissar, I'd suggest you find a copy of The World at War or start watching the History Channel while being ready to tape. The sound of a Katyusha ripple being fired is both distinctive and disturbing. It differs greatly from the sound of Nebelwerfers being fired. Almost any program covering the latter part of the war will have a segment on Katyushas being fired. A guaranteed success would be any Battle of Berlin documentary with Russian footage. Hope this helps. Sincerely, John Kettler
