Andymann
I'm not fully up on all the ins and outs of this business, but can't the Brits have a platoon without a mortar and piat ! Whenever you play a random you end up with piats and mortars up to your armpits ! And when you select yourself you still can't get the option not have them, and the choice is very limited. Doug Beman
In QBs, you're not allowed to alter the components of a unit: if you buy a rifle platoon, you gotta take the mortar and MG. If you buy a company (to get the company CO, let's say) you can't dump any of the extraneous units in order to save points. I'm not sure why it is this way; it makes it tough to simulate, eg, an understrength company, because you can't buy a company and then cut out pieces as necessary. If you're creating scenarios using the editor, you can add/subtract mortars and MGs (and AA guns, PIATs, flamethrowers, sharpshooters, and Nablahberfarterhumpenwurferwpantywaffe) to your heart's content. Yowie
Yeah, you can only modify the combination in the editor, not in QB. This can be a pain not able to pick exactly what you wnat sometime. BUT... since the Brits has relatively low FP, it does need support from the field mortars.
