Chad Harrison Posted July 26, 2001 Share Posted July 26, 2001 for CM2:BB, can we expect to see illuminating rounds/star shells? i know that they were at least common for german troops, i dont know about the russians however. would that be able to add another level of realism for night combat? what are some thoughts (it was fun to have them in Advanced squad leader!)? Chad Harrison Posted July 26, 2001 Author Share Posted July 26, 2001 it doesnt even have to be a VISUAL effect (like fog), just the LOS being extended farther. there were both mortar IL rounds and the hand held flares as far as i know. do burning building currently give better LOS range? Pzman Posted July 26, 2001 Share Posted July 26, 2001 Not that I know of. But they most likly blocked more LOS then they helped. After all in the darkness your eyes ajust. With a bright light they return to there day time setting of sorts. There forth they would be less able to see things in the darkness around the. Sorry there are so many, they all have useful information! Night NIGHT FIGHTING Did starshells make it? Are star shells and bridge demolition simulated?
