How are mines represented visually? I know that the mine-laying side sees minefield signs, but what are the graphical effects of them detonating? Shown? And what about the opposing force. Do they get some graphic to show possible minefields, once they pop a few?

Just curious... smile.gif

When one of your poor squads stumbles upon a minefield, you'll notice smile.gif What happens is that you see and hear some small explosions around the squad - usually followed by some ARGH and UGH sound of the unlucky fellas...

After a minefield has been "spotted", a minefield marker appears. You cannot order your units into known minefields - when you do so they will try to evade it and find a path around.

I guess we'll have to wait for CM2 for this feature...

That is, if we play as the Russians...

If you would like to see a screenshot of these minefield "markers", go over to my website. There is a screenshot entitled "bunker", which shows some of these in the backgrund. smile.gif
