curih
In CM, can Armored Cars be given flat tires by small arms fire? I don't recall ever seeing an AC immobolized by small arms, but I would think that a SMG squad could take those tires out pretty quickly.
Doug Beman
Uuhmmm..dude, military vehicles use hard rubber tires. You'd have to shoot the entire tire off to disable the vehicle. DjB
curih
Ok, thanks. I didn't know that. BTW, can I have my head back now?
Doug Beman
For the Euros out there, the word should be "tyres" right? DjB

Guest Pillar
No, only the Americans used those wondeful Firestone tires. To hell with small arms fire, they blow up all by themselves.
Maximus
Dammit Pillar! I was just going to mention Firestone tires.
curih
Hey guys, been doing a little reading and it seems that not all Armoured cars had solid rubber tires. This is from before WWII but in the pre-war development of armoured cars, pneumatic tires were considered an advancement, though they were bulletproof. See Achtung-Panzer by Guderian, page 138.
