EricM
With our old (5 years) computer hard drive almost full and some other issues my wife is talking about us getting a new computer. Tried a search but could not find a quick answer. What video card and sound card would be a good mid-range ($) to get for the best performance from CMBO (not interested in CMBB)? Not being very computer literate, I am looking for something that will allow playing right out of the box. Thanks, Eric PS If we do get one, I am also planning to get Battlefield '42, so that is a consideration. Thanks
Firefly
Virtually any off the shelf PC these days will run even the largest of CMBO scenarios with no problem. I don't know anything about BF1942, but I suspect that would be more demanding than CMBO, so your choice will probably depend on what runs that satisfactorily.

Gen. Longstreet
I have a P4 1.7 with a Geforce 2MX, Battlefield 1942 doesn't run great (it's the old Geforce)
Gordo
I have 64MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce4 MX™ Graphics Card with TV-Out . Don't ask me about tv-out, no clue. But it works fine with CMBO
Apache
I think any GeForce Ti card will eat it. I have a 4200 which would probably be mid-range now, 128M. Only thing you have to watch (IIRC) is Radeon's which do not do 'Fog' in CM. Might be worth having a look back at all posts in the tech support forum. These might be of use, I did the same as you recently: http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=003052 http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=002991 http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=002811
Panzertruppe
Make sure you have Broadband to run BF1942 because the game is unplayable with any dialup connection.
