mg
My favourite game, apart from CM, is without question Jagged Alliance 2. I think the large variety of equipment and movement, you know the free movement that changes into turns when enemy is sighted, is very pleasing... Anyway, what im wondering is if there is any similar games that is worth getting(preferably WW2-setting). Ive tried 101st Airbornes but i could'nt stand the feeling that everything went in slowmotion.
David Aitken
mg - Combat Mission is currently the computer wargame. Trust me. David ------------------ There's a splinter in your eye, and it reads REACT
JWorthing
Yeah, I loved jagged alliance 2, especially the ending. I also enjoyed 101st Airborne in Normandy but didn't finish it for the same reason, "the slow motion" feel. Also, I hated for my guys to get killed, I usually reloaded when that happened=) I think turn based squad games are fun nonetheless even if they are unrealistic. Have you played SAW? (soldiers at war) It's pretty cool although the graphics suck.
Guest Mortiis
I have saw, came with a bundle- just wanted the sp3 and pg 2 games, already owned sh and the movie that came with it was an old american ww2 propaganda film. Anyways tried saw and didnt really care for it, maybe I'll have to give it another shot, I mean hell I thought ja2 was fun so who knows

Unfortunately, I got the Dutch version, which is a complete disgrace. Bad translation, files missing from the CDs (luckily they can be downloaded), non-existing support (the patches only work on the English version). Then there was the trouble SirTech had finding a distributor. Topware did the German version (months after the original was ready), and when that sold really well in Germany, TalonSoft ended up releasing the other language versions. But now I hear SirTech is having the same kind of distribution trouble with the JA2 expansion! It makes me wish they had taken the same approach as BTS... Marnix. mg
Does anybody know if there is a playable demo of Soldiers at War somewhere? I can only find some kind of AVI-movie and that doesnt say much about the gameplay

MG,you should definitely try "Hidden and Dangerous." Apart from the bugs and some AI issues it is a superb game! ------------------ I am not a racialist, but, und this is a big but, we in the National Bocialist Party believe das überleben muss gestammen sein mit der schneaky Armstrong-Jones (Mr. Hilter) [This message has been edited by Juju (edited 08-19-2000).]
howardb
JA2 had a long lifespan on my HD. Is there a follow-up in the future?

Is there a follow-up in the future?

SirTech completed an add-on to JA2 called "Unfinished Business" a few months ago. However, Talonsoft, SirTech's previous publisher, declined to publish UB. SirTech has also stated that JA3 is in the works, but considering that Wizardry 8 is still unfinished, and UB has no publisher, I'm not holding my breath for future SirTech products. It's a shame, they always turned out terrific games. ------------------ Soy super bien, soy super super bien, soy bien bien super bien bien bien super super. Darwin
With all the crap out there it sucks that sirtech can't get it's products to market. I for one will definitely buy the expansion and JA3 if they ever become available.
