dej2
I hate seeing my recon(scout) units get wasted. Anyone have an effective evac procedure for scout units for TacOps?
minmax
Put Engagement range to 0 or 100 meters put somewhat into a treeline with line of site don't use smoke to run away mark a 5 artie ref point so when the enemy gets to close unload with ICM If its a vehicle, move dismounts to spot with good view, move vehicle about 100 meters out of sight Use airborne scout Ask the Major to create a feature where troops can dig hasty fighting hole and camo the ca ca out of it Well those things have been a big help to me "that crap is never coming off you boots." Morale of the story never slip in a pile of intestines.
Redwolf
As said, don't use smoke. Also don't go into hulldown when standing and you have SOPs set to fall back when somebody shoots at you. Going out of hulldown takes a 15-second timeslice. Ask the major to add a vehicle SOP item "load nearby infantry when..." analog to "unload when...".
Stoffel
also helpfull is another command in the SOP menu: Retreat when enemy spotted.(not with smoke!) In a game a few months back ,I managed to drive our friend Trooper totally crazy with this command. It was during one of the majors testsessions He lost a lot of his M1s to my BMP's when my units drove forward ,engaged his troops and retreated right away Very usefull command.
