Pyrotechnic French buildings

Recommended Posts

Is is the rich food (that the French are famous for) that causes their homes to detonate when a few rounds of HE lands inside them? Typically it takes a few rounds before a "golden BB" strikes the fat fryer and BOOM!

Seriously: Explain the reason for a large shockwave from a collapsing home.

Apologies if it has already been covered. A brief search on "exploding" and "buildings" yield nada.

See 'collapse cloud kills - blast rating?' thread that is active ' -in summary it is a dust cloud, and the jury is out as to whether building collapses have blast

The conception of such a plan was impossible for a man of Montgomery's innate caution...In fact, Montgomery's decision to mount the operation ...[Market Garden] was as startling as it would have been for an elderly and saintly Bishop suddenly to decide to take up safe breaking and begin on the Bank of England. do a quick test scenario and watch a 14 inch naval shell land, (the blast wave is large and obvious with these rounds) you will see the blast waves are orangy yellow and very rapid, the dust cloud from the buildings is white and slow. ive never seen any damage done by the cloud myself but as you will see on the thread mentioned above the jury seems to be out on this. hope that helps smile.gif
