Capt. Toleran
I don't know if you all know this already, but the USMC has a nice selection of their combat/doctrine manuals online in PDF form free for the taking/reading at http://www.doctrine.quantico.usmc.mil/ Also, for Army Manuals, check out http://155.217.58.58/atdls.htm. I thought this might be helpful to anyone like me who knows basic military tactics, but needs a lesson in proper utilization of MGs, combined arms, ect. Cya on the field! WendellM
Nifty, thanks! You might also post this on the TacOps forum, since it deals with modern combat (I could do it myself, but wouldn't want to take your credit). BTW, the second link needs a little edit (the final "." is causing a problem). No biggie - that seems to happen about half the time a link is posted. Capt. Toleran
BTW, be sure to check out the Historical section in the USMC page. It has some neat documents that were contemporary with the time period that CM deals with, and gives insight into the strategies and mindset of the time.
