Sabrewolf
Does an MG team with firepower of 30 has the same chance of supression as an infantry squad with the same firepower of 30. (The squad is of course closer to the target) What good firepower seems to be good at supressing, anyone?
Guest Pillar
ROF might play a role as well, although I'm not sure if that's incorporated into the Firepower tables. Sorry
ScoutPL
Are you talking firepower as in effectiveness of fires? Or are you talking about 30 shots, which is an abstraction of number of rounds available rather then raw firepower.
Doug Beman
He's talking about the FIREPOWER rating shown by the LOS tool when it's dragged onto an enemy unit. It's my guess that, for two identical FIREPOWER ratings (one from a machine gun a couple hundred meters away, the other from a rifle squad much closer to the target) the unit with a higher ROF will have a better chance to suppress the target.
