On Wintel machines, if you press Prnt Scrn it copies the entire visible desktop, including the active window, into the clipboard. You can then paste that into Paint, or most any other program as well. If you press Alt-Prnt Scrn, it copies only the active window into the clipboard, which could be the entire visible section if you have that window set to full screen.
