coe
So I tried to put a squad behind an AFV (tiger tank) but it seems they still got hit despite the tank being directly in the way, It would be a cool command to be able to instruct your squad to follow behind an AFV (and instruct the AFV to go to like slow advance mode) much like how some advances were made. That exact move/tactic is the first thing my buddies wanted to do when they saw the demo on my laptop for the first time. I told them I did not exactly know how to link or group or have an infantry squad advance behind an AVF. I'm sure it will be addressed in the Release Version. Black Sabot
I'm writing this from work so i don't have access to the game to try this (Damm!) But try a 1/2 squad instead. Maybe your men got hit because the ass end of the Tiger isn't wide enough to shield 8-10 men. Just a thought. Otherwise, i agree with you about the AFV/INF tactic you described. I'm sure i could put it to good use.

ARCHANGEL
In addition to what COE posted, I also noted that KO'D vehicles don't seem to exist as cover...THAT would be helpful as well.
Lee
Hmm, good question. Do tanks give cover to those behind them from bullets or blast effects at all? I would think they should give some, at least for a limited number of soldiers.
Fionn
Ko'd vehicles DO act as cover. Live vehicles don't because it would simply kill ur CPU. KO'd vehicles DO act as cover.. Of course given that a squad's footprint is large it is quite common not to get them all fully behind the vehicle and thus the enemy can fire at a few exposed guys. Guest Captain Foobar
What about AFV's that are stationary? I know that moving vehicles are *not* calculated in LOS, but I thought that stationary units were not a problem.
Guest Madmatt
Nope, Live is live, if its live they dont block LOS. Dead DO block LOS so in essence give cover although not in any way that you are thinking of. In short: DONT hide behind a tank, alive or dead... You have been warned...Unless you are playing me in PBEM them by all means.... coe
This is too bad that the live AFV's don't offer cover, sometimes going up a street or in the open fields that is the only form of cover that the Armoured Infantry/ Panzer Grenadiers have.
